It's a long story of how I got here.
Let's begin in April 2016, when I took the leap of faith to quit my toxic boss at a company where I worked for 4 years.
Three weeks later, I, fortunately, landed a promotion at another company.
Six months later, a recruiter found me on LinkedIn and contacted me about a role she was working on.
After 1 interview, I landed the job.
It was the highest role of my career salary and title-wise, so I thought my career was definitely on the right track.
Then a couple of months later, the day before my vacation to Cuba, I was told not to come back.
I allowed myself to *try* to enjoy my vacation, and when I returned home I went back to the drawing board and logged on to LinkedIn to get on the hunt.
I paid attention to my LinkedIn feed for the first time ever and noticed my first LinkedIn influencer.
Oh, I forgot to mention that I was still on a payment plan for my business coach that I hired a few months prior to getting fired.
I wasn't making money on either Instagram or my personal and business Facebook pages.
LinkedIn just felt right to market my resume writing & career coaching business. Plus, my business coach told me that it was a sign to go full-time in my business.
That same year, I generated ~$80K in sales for my business on LinkedIn, and the next year 6 figures.
After growing my career services business to a team of 10, I decided the business no longer aligned with my purpose, so I pivoted.
